I used to drive from Edinburgh to Glasgow just to go to Hajars so when they opened in Edinburgh I was happy but now that’s the last time I’ll ever go there because it’s horrendous. The tables are all dirty, the guys on the phone not interested in taking your order and gives you it no matter if you said no salad but also soak it in sauce! Tasteless and overpriced!!

If you love shawarma, shish and chicken wings, look no further than Hajar’s Shawarma King. The shish and chicken wings were cooked on charcoals that make them taste so uniquely chargrilled, I loved it!As we tried the mix grill, we tasted a bit of all of the food, so I can definitely tell some of the meat tasted more unique than others. The chicken wings, and chicken shish had the most flavour, the seasoning with the chared flavours mixed exceptionally well. The shawarma tasted as other shawarma, not very special, but quite nice. I didn't really like the kofta as it felt a bit under seasoned, not too flavoursome.I'd definitely recommend the shish and chicken. The shawarma is nice, but kofta is probably an avoid because the other options were incredible.Customer service = Taste = Value = Overall = .

I have been going to this place for a long long time now. Lamb and chicken meat are actually fresh, pretty good variety of food:Chips yummy, shawarma very good in all styles and combo, ayran drink my fav (salty yoghurt drink), rice oddly addicting, wraps are large sized, portions are large and satisfying. (Perhaps I over-eat actually)Very worth going. Careful of busy times of Fri, Sat night. But wholesome, yummy meat food!Dietary restrictions: It's all HALAL. Meat all halal alhamdulillah
